The earnings report
The earnings report In light of the latest quarterly earnigs report, I calculated the tangible book value this morning. I forgot to write down the number, but I am quite sure it was in the range of $16.00-$16.50 (as I remembered thinking the share price would probably not dip lower than that). So far, I am right about the extent of share-price weakness, but the earnings certainly were poor. I think we both anticipated poor quarterly figures. The Dutch auction tender has markedly decreased the number of outstanding shares.
