Application ID: 50890
Applicant: American Bonanza Gold Corporation
Place: Copperstone Mine
License Category: Standard Class II permit with no public hearing
Current Status: Substantive Review phase
ADEQ Staff Assigned: Wayne Bixler
Recent Activities Date
Applicant response to suspension due to deficiencies in SR phase  21-Sep-2010
Inadequate response to Request for Additional Information (with suspension)  10-Aug-2010
Applicant response to suspension due to deficiencies in SR phase  03-Aug-2010
Request for additional information with suspension  15-Jul-2010
Administrative completeness review done  02-Mar-2010

The licensing time frame (LTF) #50890 was restarted effective September 21, 2010, upon receipt of the final ambient air quality impact analysis from the source. As of today there are 135 days remaining in the SR phase of the licensing time frame within which the Department must make a licensing decision. That 135 day period includes the required 30 day public notice of the draft permit. Given the work remaining to complete this project, although I don’t anticipate the Department consuming all of the remaining LTF to reach a licensing decision, it will probably be early 2011 before that action is executed.

Regards,

Wayne D. Bixler
