Graphite demand to double by 2020https://resourceclips.com/2017/04/23/converging-on-batteries/ Good article about increasing demand for battery raw materials. In 2016 Battery graphite demand was 100,000 tonnes, Benchmark Minerals sees this doubling to over 200,000 tonnes by 2020!
Prices for coated spherical graphite are also expected to be on target with Alabama's PEA estimate of $7,000-$12,000. Currently synthetic CSPG is selling for ~$20,000 but the cost will become lower as battery manufacturers start to switch to natural graphite.

we believe the coated spherical graphite price will actually fall in the long term average, but will still be between $8,000 and $12,000 a tonne. So there’s very high value and significant demand for this material.”
