How to buy auscann
I am wondering how those of you who bought shares with an Australian Broker were able to do so?
I looked into registering with ComSec and a couple of others and they wanted proof of Australian Residential address (I live in Canada) and currently do my trades through TD.
Can someone shed some light on who they used?

- I also live in Canada and I called my bank (Cibc investors edge) and ordered shares through the OTC ticker for Auscann. They charged me 50$ for the purchase order of 4000 shares and I bought it through my TFSA. Some ppl have said you can't own it in a TFSA because you're buying an OTC stock, but because it's traded on the ASX then you can . Hope this helps.

I used HSBC Direct because I can't buy stocks outside of North America on TD Webbroker. Interactive Brokers also good for international stocks. You can also buy it through the OTC ticker ACNNF, but keep in mind there is currently no level 2 on it so trading it is kind of like flying blind but such is the case with some OTC stocks.

On RBC I simply put a trade limit order at 0.35 USD and picked it up at average 0.3368 USD. This can only be done in your non-registered account (not your TFSA) as for whatever reason it doesn't qualify. Commission was only 9.99. I traded ACNNF and not AC8. I hope this helps...and buy as much as you can!

Wish I had known TD did international orders, could have saved myself 190 in commission. Ended up buying more this week through TD this time. Thanks for the info.

Has anyone had any success buying this with Questrade? Varioius employees have told me I can, but it never works. Tried over the phone and the broker said "We can't sell you this. Who told you we could?"
