RE: buys time The design of this rearing structure is flawed from its design. It must be moored in protected areas or it fails. These areas have the highest user conflict . I have been a fish farmer for 12 years and designed/ managed three 500 tonne operations. The public does not want aquaculture in their " playground" . I have designed a spar type submersible cage for open ocean aquaculture . Getting aquaculture out of protected low flow sites is better for user conflict, the environment and the fish stock's health and growth.
