Remember what Armtec is....

Remember what Armtec is....
Armtec is a cluster of low tech companies and assets that manufacturers simple products. They are under extreme competitive pressure on all fronts and since the assembly margin compression of what were healthy "family" type businesses has been an ongoing problem. They have an aging work force -- most of the young talent was cut or left after 2010. They have placed and promoted into leadership roles people lacking in the required knowledge and market strategy for the sector. Where they had sole source patens they now have competition and they invest very little into new product development or technology improvements. You can turn the clock back 25 years and the company would not look much different if it existed then as it does now. Brookfield is impressive -- much more so than Armtec however they must recognize what a dog this company truly is. The year over year decline of market cap is shocking to watch and now being virtually insolvent -- what is the next step? Cut the hype and reduce expectations be truthful about what this company really is. Clean house of senior management and figure head positions that are more warranted for better performing public companies. Populate key positions with proven industry performers and find some capital to update product lines that will yield stronger returns with efficiencies in production. Identify and sell the dogs to competitors. Find a way into the key sectors of infrastructure where the money is being spent ie Water Transmission! You can't call yourself a national infrastructure company & have no presence in the waterworks business. But most of all they need to stop talking about it but really start to do it. Making the video is easy -- living up to what you say in it is really tough!
