RE:Insider Trading Rumor ... talks with Lafarge
Lafarge wouldn't touch this dog. The only place Lafarge has maintained tertiary manufacturing of its vertical integration model in Alberta. They did that because they had heavily invested in the plant so it has a long life cycle and the margins for pipe and manholes in boom Alberta was too good to be true. What a difference 6 months makes. Lafarge owned PreCon and dumped it to Armtec for 40 million in 2009. It was an archaic pig of a facility back then and still is today. Boucher doesn't eat enough cement powder and is too labour intensive to catch Lafarge's eye for value. Same with Brooklin. Groupe Tremca has little market share in a province with little appetite for precast -- All in all forget Lafarge for this puppy. They have no interest what so ever. If the company had huge aggregate reserves it would be different. Then only thing Armtec has an abundance of is Bull Poo
