An aggresive write off should be seen as is positive ?? Hmmmm?
Granted, the tax advantage from the recent capital gain was crystalized but writing off 1 out of 7 of any key portfolio leaves me less really worried.. In reality, this decision was the culmination of a serious financial blunder by the senior administrative and financial leadership. I invested 5% of my initial portfolio in AD 5 years ago but have seen a steady set of 'lower lows' in stock value. So as stock holders, why we should see this recent "SM" writie off other than what it is---incompetence! The market price has been telling us there is a lack of confidence in AD for quite some time--check the chart.
