Alexandria Minerals Corp ALXDF

Alexandria Minerals Corp is a Canadian based gold exploration and development company. Its project consists of Orenada, Akasaba, Sleepy, Manitoba and Ontario properties together with the Other Quebec properties. It is mainly focused on exploring the cadillac break property which is located in Val-d'Or, Quebec. The cadillac break property consists of approximately 21 contiguous projects of over 460 claims, located in Bourlamaque, Louvincourt and Vaquelin Townships. The manitoba properties include

Initial observations

Initial observations1) Shear Zones?

´´The key geologic features which host gold resources at the neighboring Triangle Deposit (the host-rock diorite plugs, gold-bearing quartz veins, and shear zones) were identified in six out of seven shallow drill holes.´´

We knew about the host-rock diorite plugs on our property. We knew about the gold-bearing quartz veins within our plugs. We now have confirmation of shear zones, as one of the geologic features within the area (if I understand the NR correctly).

2) Shallow drill holes

It looks like all 7 drill holes were shallow.

It`s not clear if our Triangle Plugs are located underneath overburden, similar to Integra`s Triangle Plug. Integra`s Triangle Plug is located under about 50m to 100m overburden I believe.

In addition, it`s not clear if Alexandria`s Triangle veins are deep and spread out as Richmont Mines´ Beaufor deposit. If so, it might take a bit of probing to locate the veins. The Beaufor deposit is also a quartz-tourmaline vein deposit. Here is a longitudinal picture of the Beaufor deposit:

3) Pyrite mineral, typically a great pathfinder for gold

Gold of .3 to 1.29 g/t found in the the drill holes. The pyrite did its job again. It is now time to locate the primary veins at depth.

4) Going deeper

´´The follow-up campaign will include deeper targets on the new plugs, as well as untested geophysical targets.´´

We know we have all the key geological features. We know the structure has gold within. We know we are exploring intrusive plugs that were created directly from the magma below (where minerals typically originate from). We know that the Val d´Or camp is known for deep deposits (i.e. Sigma goes down to 2,000m and is still open, Agnico`s LaRonde goes down to below 3,000m and is still open, Agnico`s Lapa doesn`t start until 450m vertical depth). Let`s see if we can find anything meaningful below.

5) Key geologic features in 6 of the 7 holes

´´The key geologic features ....... were identified in six out of seven shallow drill holes.´´

My guess is the only hole without the key geo features is DH OAX-16-069 on pg 12 of the Corp Presentation. That hole is no longer considered part of the plugs. The other 6 holes are mapped out as being within the plugs on pg 12.

6) The plugs could be longer

´´These two new plugs were found by testing geophysical anomalies, the size limits of which are as yet unknown.´´

7) 5 of the 7 drill holes confirmed presence of gold (mainly within the plugs)

´´five of the seven holes reported between 0.3 g/t gold and 1.29 g/t gold from veins within and near the plugs.´´

8) Middle of drilling Orenada (a far more advanced deposit)

´´middle of a 4,000 meter drill campaign on its Orenada property´´

9) New sulfide mineralization (4 km east of Orenada)

Probably somewhere within the eastern target identified on pg 14.

´´A prospecting and field geology effort has also located new sulfide mineralization about 4 km east of Orenada, expanding the known mineralization within the porphyry gold-copper system underlying the western half of the Company's property.

10) It is looking like we have a large system on the property. The new director should help in mapping it out. He was key member of teams that made numerous large discoveries around the world, including the 16.5 million ounce Rosia Montana deposit in Romania. The Rosia Montana deposit will likely never be mined, due to protests from environmentals in that part of the world (it`s almost always better to stick to Canada when it comes to mineral security), but nevertheless, the fact of the matter is that Rosia Montana is a large gold discovery (one of the largest in recent times). Hopefully he can use his wealth of knowledge to help us make a significant discovery at our Cadillac Break location.

´´These efforts continue to provide evidence for the large size of the geologic system underlying the property, with importance to the potential size of mineral deposits on the property.´´

11) We still have to drill the 2 Triangle Porpyries

The propyries are diorites too - located on pg 12. The 7 drill holes were all drilled at the 2 Triangle Plugs. Typically, quartz-tourmaline veins are high grade and narrow while porpyries are lower grade and wide (buld mineable type) structures.
