Who believes there is a lot more gold to the west?

Many people believe that there is a lot more gold to the west and that the Centremaque claim was blocking progress. If you look at the path taken in recent years, they were trying to continue expanding Orenada while probing around the western parcels finding great indicators.

I'm not saying EO was good for shareholders, but I am saying that he was solid in his belief that there is a collective elephant at the Cadillac Break property. The problem with exploration companies is that all they do is burn cash and up until 2016 there was no real strategy being executed. Once they reinterpreted the Zone 4 deposit, there seemed to be a logical plan. That plan went away when ES got control of the BoD.

We all knew there would be more dilution, and that at least 20 million was needed to continue the drill program. We all are awaiting the updated RE with high expectations. I am not in the Owens camp, but if we sell the company today, we are giving up a lot of upside in my opinion.  Show me 1.6 Moz or more and do not sell for less than $180M

EO is not the only person who believes there is an elephantine deposit on Alexandria properties.  Heck, it is common knowledge. What he did was go outside the company's rules and attempt to sequester funds under his own control, effectively wresting control of the company from the company.  This is a form of fraud and perhaps worse. You note in his "information circular ...more

Excellent post, Shylock.  You beautifully summed up what most of us think about EO, etc. Nothing much to add on the sp.  We'll probably continue to be range bound, on relatively low volume.  Everyboday's waiting for the RE, with a subsequent big pop in the sp.   I continue to believe that alexandria mgmt has had a good chunk of the RE results for awhile now.   I& ...more

Really, going in with Patience ?  Really, 580 million +/- O/S shares and no definitive gold deposit....that go beyond 2+ million ounces. This is Chaos and the majors love it.....no one is buying the AZX.....can't happen.  Mahjors are looking for "chreap" well laid out plans. Don't fool yourself !!   this is a Junior market....and no one wants to buy anything ...more

Hey BTG1  --  yes, strategic patience......that's what smart traders have.  You should try it sometime.  And it's not the o/s as I've said to you before.....it's the market cap.  Right now alexandria has 2.3Moz gold (m+i+inf).  The RE will substantially increase this #.   By chaos, you must be talking about probe.......prb.v and probf hit 52-week ...more

biotechguy1 - Nice to meet you but I am going to have to disagree with your thesis that no one wants AZX. I do agree that as a consequence of the EO affair, shareholders have been scared off as previously stated but as for seniors, "mahors" as you call them, they are used to this childish sparring and corrupt CEOs.  They will wait patiently for the mess to settle and settle it ...more

goldopp - Your advice to "just be patient" is the exactly best advice anyone could give.  You are quite correct, we are sitting on a literal mountain of gold which, granted, has indeed been underexplored.  This, of course, makes it an exciting prospect and with companies mining gold literally all around it, the outcome, a positive outcome, is a virtual given. For the moment, ...more

I’m not touting Owens in any way and stated as much. His slate of directors is no good either. I do believe there was an ES influenced reason to pull off of drilling in the west last year and EO did not agree. That is when he set about trying to balance the table, and it does appear he acted fraudently, but we have seen no action on that by regulatory agencies, so it is only an accusation although ...more

LRG - No problem, friend.  You did not collide with my observations. I just believe EO did more damage to this company and therefore us than is commonly believed. Buyers of shares of companies, particularly especially junior gold miners where it is already difficult to find a hole in the ground without a liar at the top, tend to be scared off by internecine warfare and that is what EO gave ...more
