Casa Minerals (TSXV:CASA) has received an exploration work permit for its Arsenault Copper-Gold-Silver volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) project in northwestern B.C.
In a press release, the company said it received a five-year-area-based exploration permit from the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation.
Farshad Shirvani, president & CEO of the Company states: “This permit gives Casa an opportunity to shine a light on this district which has a rich history in mineral exploration, and it deserves new approaches and modern exploration technologies to hopefully contribute to the demand of critical minerals that we are seeing in this country and around the world,” Farshad Shirvani, CEO of Casa Minerals, said in a statement.
The permit will also allow the company to perform 80 line kilometres of ground geophysical surveys and drill from 30 helicopter-accessed drill sites and also includes consultations with First Nations. Casa Minerals said the requirements are in accord with its principles and will result in minimal impact.
The Arsenault Copper-Gold-Silver project in northwestern B.C. is a VMS prospect first identified in 1947. A recent airborne VTEM™ geophysical survey outlined five VMS targets, including the historic Arsenault VMS1 zone with rock assays as high as 1.74 per cent copper, 0.98 grams per ton (g/t) and silver 24.1 g/t, along with copper in soil as high as 0.54 per cent.
Casa Minerals is engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties located in Canada and the U.S. Its projects include Pitman and Paddy Mac, Keaper and Arsenault. It also owns a 100 per cent interest in the Pitman and Paddy-Mac Properties in B.C.
Shares of Casa Minerals are unchanged at C$0.04.
