| It will be at least a few more days before a particle board plant in 100 Mile House is back in business.
A fire at the Ainsworth engineered oriented strand board plant broke out on the weekend affecting some of the highly specialized equipment at the facility.
However, the 100 Mile fire chief says damage was mostly confined to the machinery -- so once it's replaced the mill could begin operating almost immediately.
Ainsworth's 100 Mile house mill produces plywood-like sheets of o-s-b, primarily for overseas markets. |
