buyout

buyoutThe offer was a bit opportunistic but you have to consider that 2 months ago, osb and lumber prices were running 8 years highs. Now the prices are back down in the low margins.
LPX is optimisitc that the housing boom is starting and are taking all the risk. With all the idled mills coming on line, i'm not so optimistic.

All the OSB/lumber quarterlies coming out from the next couple quarters are going to be very depressing unless the prices start rising. Next Quarterly will be the worst.

I was planiing about selling my ANS shares before the next quarterlies came out if the OSB/Lumber prices didnt improve. But i was getting caugtht as the price was sliding faster than the osb prices.
So i'm very happy with this buyout.
Brookfield endorses this deal so its also a done deal. I might sell half tomorrow if it gets within a couple pennys, if not ill wait and get the full amount.

I made a bundle on ANS in the last 2 years and sad to see it go, but a buyout is always fun.
