RE:HTFBS Sphere/Overland Merger UpdateYes great post indeed. check out the following post from another astute forum member of the other site: Pay special attention to Kelly's ties to government: ""The combination of Sphere 3D's Glassware 2.0 virtualization solution and Overland's Sphere 3D Corp. (TSXV:ANY) SPIHF Post # 5620 storage solutions will enable mobile device users the full functionality of any software program or application on any device, anywhere, eliminating the application limitations, data management and security problems for enterprises created by the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) phenomenon. Mobile users that need productivity applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and collaborations, specialized software for computer-aided design (CAD), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), software development, video production or customized legacy applications can now experience full application functionality via the cloud or in the data center." Spiffy moves ahead at lightening speed and becomes a "real" company with OVRL acquisition....and OVRL investors are finally saved from a dying business and eventual bankruptcy...and get to enhance their product line to customers with real and cutting edge technology. Have to give it to Eric Kelly for putting this all together. Peter has been great on the Spiffy side...but it would appear the real unsung hero here is Eric Kelly...both the CEO of OVRL AND Executive Chairman of Spiffy. Hats off to him...recognizing Spiffy early on and executing flawlessly... When referring to huge multi-billion $ Government contracts that should become available in putting Gov. data (esp. healthcare)on the Cloud...consider his other position and contacts in Washington: "....U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Rebecca Blank appointed President and CEO of Overland Storage, Eric Kelly to the 2013 US Department of Commerce Manufacturing Council. The Council, established in 2004 and directed by the Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration, ensures regular communication between the U.S. government and the manufacturing sector."
