the government cares more about money than you and I. the government has their mits into anything that makes money. this is not in any way any worse than gambling or alcohol, two things that serve nothing more than entertainment. At least the "tree of life "serves more than ruining get people's lives and families. it serves many purposes beyond entertainment.
