Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

BTW, I think some might appreciate a bit of history regarding the concept of an incorporated company.  The idea arose in the 1600s in England during the Industrial Revolution.  The British Parliament deemed too much was at stake for some major enterprises to be in the hands of a single person.  By making a company its own entity, with a Board and other executives the intent was to ensure the entity could survive one individual.

That is what we are seeing here, Aphria as its own entity must determine no one individual was working against the best interest of the whole.

Any company should be able to survive one individual’s actions.  Those companies that fall are because the whole Board is in on it.  I do not believe this is the case here.

It seems the value of the LATAM investment is deemed okay, it needs to be determined if anything wrong was done in the attainment.

I am perfectly fine waiting for a thorough answer to everything that has gone on. I read your posts - we are close to retirement and picked Aphria as one of our investments due to the management team. I certainly hope they come through this and can move that share price back up. Thanks for all your thoughts. I don’t agree with everything but I value your insights and it’s always food for thought.

It appears to me the company is doing the appropriate due diligence and post crisis actions.  Until Neufeld is cleared of any wrong doing it is best for Mr. Ripshtein to be at the helm.

I gather you're not suggesting that it might be just one individual?
