Their assets in Canada are likely at the very top compared to others. DD does bring up some valid points though. Sometimes when we are so super focused on only one company we forget to pay attention to what's going on around us. I was completely shocked to learn that both CURA and TRST passed us recently adding to the list of companies outshining Aphria. And now we have Zenabis who estimates a production level that competes with Aurora. They may seem unknown but only because we only ever pay attention to companies that are listed. Zenabis is a new listing. How many other ones out there are there that we have no idea about because there's no media coverage on unlisted companies in this sector. It's disgusting to see really. Zenabis potentially adds another 400K+ KG to Canadas total. Then there's AGRA? Never heard of them before either but they apparently have the second largest greenhouse in all of Canada? I think we need to start paying attention to what's going on around us more.
It is illogical to assume competition will not effect this market. DD however has been soft bashing that competition will only effect APHA. Competition effects all LPs. Its like any other market. The weak will fall.
“the weak will fall” is the key to all of this. There are many parameters that need to be monitored to understand the competition. Many of these new companies may take a few years to get to the production stage. During that time, existing companies are focusing on international agreements, innovative products, new growing techniques, improving lean production processes, etc. Lets not forget about branding and establishing customer loyalty which takes time to establish. I imagine within the next few years, there will be lots of consoldation and buyouts on the cheap.
yes agreed. Anyone can throw some money in , go public and start building greenhouses. Many of these greenhouses will be relic buildings sold off at pennies to the dollar. It will all come down to execution, product branding and innovation. I am confident in Chris and Benji to produce the lowest cost product and fast turnover of the plants. I am confident that many of APHA pharma partners will innovate. I am confident...
