Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

You're reading something in Irwin Simon's statement that simply is not there. First won't mean a damn thing if it isn't done right. Aphria has chosen to get the core assets which recide in Canada right first before venturing south of the border. The US can wait while it decides if it wants to change its federal laws but Aphria can't wait in devouting 100% of its attention towards its increased cultivation capabilities and getting ready for the legalization of beverages and edibles in Canada.  Profit is what the market wants to see out of these cannabis stocks so Simon is just being shrewd when he says the company will direct all of its resources to building up the home base first so they can achieve that goal. The more plants we have singing happily in the sunshine the quicker the revenues can build. Happy plants make for happy shareholders.
