Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. "There was no apparent news for the huge CannTrust stock turnaround. Shares fell slightly in after-hours action." (https://www.investors.com/news/canntrust-stock-falls-auditor-marijuana-stocks-down/)

Stock turnaround based on ... a rumour that it may be purchased? How does a broken, about-to-go-down company jumps 40% up in value? Based on a hope that someone will pick up the tab and absorb it into its own system?
