I put treehugger on ignore long ago...a hypocrite who has proven a lack of integrity on too many occasions.
WRT holding Aphria...in my view it is simply the best positioned in the sector.
It has been a lousy year...worst for me since Nortel blew up in 2000. But I held on as I believe as the culling of the herd commences Aphria will be one of the few left standing.
Treehugger made a lot of noise about being morally against Aphria partnering with Bayer or Monsanto. Arguments were hypocritical at best, dysfunctional at worst.
I actually have more respect for those shorts (very few and far between) who articulate solid rationale as to why they are shorting a stock. I am sure many of us longs have gone over the Aphria prospectus in detail, run the napkin math every which way, compared to the other LPs in the sector...and have reached a similar conclusion as I have.
Agreed on the CC Pharma logic. I get the argument that the income generated is steady state and not much year over year growth; but what I find being overlooked is the distribution network. As we are seeing in Canada, supply chain and getting product to the market is key to success.
correct Sky. It's all about getting the product to market. If you don't have a final customer to sell to what is the point of all the production. CC Pharma has 14000 pharmacies it sells to. Let say 10000 pharmacies buy $20000 ( I believe the number could be 5 times that) of Cannabis a year from them. That means CC Pharma's revenue would go up $200M. My prediction for 2020 is simple. CC Pharma's revenue will be over $1B. $600M in distribution revenue and $400M in Cannabis revenue. It is easy for them to achieve.as long as we have EU GMP certification.
