To the best of my knowledge aphria is a Co-owner of the power generator plant that powers Aphria One. should help in reducing cost alot. https://mjbizdaily.com/aphrias-flagship-ca190-million-cannabis-greenhouse-is-fully-licensed/

The power generator(s) would typically be used as a back-up in case of power grid failure. Very critical for heat in winter and cooling in summer, to protect the crops. There would be no cost savings as it needs to be powered, which based on scale would probably be natural gas.

You are truly a f***ing arrogant idiot. I have worked for several mutlubillion corporations in my lifetime in Canada and the US. If the cost savings to have a dedicated cogeneration plant was that advantageous, based on the capiital investment payback, the investments to do so would have been made.

Yes, and that's exactly what they did at both Aphria One and Aphria Diamond. They installed cogen plants at both greenhouses during construction. That is part of the reason why I invested in Aphria. Very savvy business move. Did you actually not know this yet you are an investor??? I toured a few times and they are there. Ramiral toured with me. Prof

Did they expand on the payback? Is it on par with the Latam investments? Look the only way this makes a business case is if there was a government credit/subsidy involved. By the way what would a typical corporate capital investment payback target be?

You arrogant SOB. You never had any respect and never will. My point never was that I did not know Aphria had a cogen. I did my DD also. My initial post was to take exception to the comment that it was a "cost savings". Based on the nature of the grow business it is required and the capital expenditure is justified, but as a cost savings, show me the numbers

Viking49: Thank you for the informative and courteous response. I recall the article, bur forgot that it was lack of supply from the Hydro One grid that was driving the decision. Easy payback calculation on that - lol.

It was common knowledge at the time that Vic tried to get more. There is no news release or article write up - just sources close to what was going on. All the longs should remember the time very well.

Yes I know. Just tired of the seal claps. Aphria has made some good investments. Others not so much. Having a cogen to protect the crops is the price of doing business. To spin it as a cost savings, if there were no government subsidies involved, is BS

I am glad that you are entertained. So explain to me the cost of the cogen and payback and how it saves us, the investors, money? Show me the numbers and I will take back my previous comments.

As for you. Lol At $4.20 CDN early in May you said that Aphria was dead money and the stock price was going nowhere. If you were a baseball player, which I doubt you are athletic at all, you'd be batting 0 for 25 when it comes to Aphria lol Prof
