Loss of $0.02 a share and a decline in revenue in the millions and they all disapear.

There will be a sell off at the open

Yes, I wonder where the paddle boat oracle (prof clown) is today?

A sell off? You think? Thanks for letting the board know. Lol

I am here. We actually beat on earnings and cannabis revenue. When all other CDN LPs had a decrease in quarterly cannabis revenue we were actually up 16 points. The other LPs also haven't got a clue about what an adjusted positive EBIDTA is either but hey the shorts will win today based on seasonally low distribution revenue from CC Pharma. We are still a takeover target and probably even more ...more

Grape one. Yesterday, I predicted an increase by 8-11 million in gross cannabis revenue and Aphria reported very close to that. I also stated that there would be no write downs which there weren't. I think our gross cannabis revenue was actually a record but I guess demonstrating that Aphria is capturing more and more market share isn't good enough for the crooks in the big houses. Aphria ...more

Good to see you back Prof. And yes you called it well.  Any idea why the excise tax got so high? Otherwise we would have made a profit.
Comment by ProfCornelius on Oct 15, 2020 11:49am
Hi Helen. I am actually bewildered by that myself. It's very unfortunate because like you said we could've showed a profit. Take care. Prof .
Comment by quietobserver on Oct 15, 2020 11:46am
Prof I don't usually agree with you but on the CC Pharma revenue it is always discounted because it isn't weed sales. It never counts when it goes up but if it goes down we get spanked for it. If this was Canopy's fins they would be up $5 right now, they can only wish.
Comment by ProfCornelius on Oct 15, 2020 11:52am
I 100% agree with you man. The numbers are actually really good but they found a weak link in the distribution revenue to screw us with unfortunately. Take care. Prof

You did miss one point. Yes net revenue is down due to Covid. HOWEVER analysts were anticipating a 4 cent loss per share. Oh wait they killed that with less revenue. Only 2 cents a share loss . That is a win as well as positive adjusted EBIDA.  Don't understand why people mislead the facts.  Aphria is the king .
Comment by TheGrapeOne on Oct 15, 2020 9:40am
The main source of income and the income that leads to the profit for this company is the distribution business.  so the company missed revenue over all by $4.5 million and gained in Cannabis revenue at the same time that gain hides a furthar loss in the distribution silo of the company. if second wave kicks off you could see an increased drop in revenue from that silo  and will ...more

Lol . You still haven't answered the elephant in the room . If analysts expected a 4 cents a share loss and they beat that what's your point .  you are too focused on revenue . Building efficiency during Covid and beating EPS expectations is how you build a successful company.   There is not another cannibas company that is this focused.
Comment by TheGrapeOne on Oct 15, 2020 10:03am
last time I checked revenue is important to companies it keeps them from future dilution lets them pay the bills and if a companys revenue decreases by large amounts who would invest? A growth comany in a growth industry with shrinking revenues?  Sounds like a solid play lol

You can run with half of the story if you want to but covid has had a major effect on Aphria and the industry as a whole. If you want to see what a mess looks like check out acb. It'll be next year before a vaccine is ready and applied and we get back to normal...whatever that was...see you then and GLTA

All can say to you my friend is, this company has made me very comfortable in life . I don't have to grind every day.  You keep shorting and making your poket change.  If you are a basher then move on. But I will explain 1 last point . This company started in 2014. IPO at at approximately $1.30 . Do the math return in 6 years. no one said revenue isn't important. Oh wait you ...more

I have not had a chance to look into the details yet. THe oldest trick in the book (especially, when your CEO is a carnival barker), is to build your inventory to help absorb fixed cost. The problem with that is you burn cash and it will eventually come back to haunt you when it has to be written off. Need to get rid of simple Simon and hire a good operations person who knows how to grow a business ...more

You can't be serious. Without revenue, you can't expect growing the profit. Cannabis sold well with the COVID,.link below. If the company had increased its revenue by a good amount, even a bigger loss would have a positive outcome. There are costs associated to grow a business that are not recurrents, so these costs would eventually be profit. It means that the competition is serious. What ...more
