As to the reduction in the sales force, it has ALWAYS been way OTT without any good reason. A signiificant waste of money for Pozen/ARZ for years.
This is right. The dangers of PPIs are well documented. The question for the doctor and patient is whether the benefits of PPI outweigh the risks. Just like Zontivity -- the dangers of Zontivity are also well known, but if you have no health insurance to pay for a procedure like a heart stent, Zontivity may be your best choice.
