it has started creeping up since the last ER, probably good sales numbers

Yeah, I put a sell at $2 about a month or so ago not paying attention to it.  I should have acted to wait until it pulled back on this run since it filled today.  It's a heck of a run from it's bottom. Oh well, I expect the numbers to trend higher and to beat expectation.  Maybe I'll buy back in in the future.

Is this just shorts covering or is there good news coming? Sales of both Yosprala and Zontivity are growing nicely.  Makes you wonder how much faster they can grow sales if they hadn't laid off much of their sales staff.  If Aralez were to boost their sales staff, it would give lots of confidence to the market about the potential of Yosprala and Zontivity.  They probably have ...more

they don't need so many salespeople because now their salespeople push both Yos and Zon at the same time when they talk to doctors
Comment by biggerr on Sep 27, 2017 5:26pm
it's true, the regulation says that Zon has to be taken with an aspirin and Yos contains both aspirin and PPI which prevents stomach bleeding, yeah
Comment by CHECKMATE77 on Sep 27, 2017 5:39pm
You need a lesson in pharmacology,  a PPI does NOT prevent a bleed , it reduces the possibility also and more important, PPI are now being re-evaluated as to their efficacy . There is a move to reduce the use of PPI . That is not good for this company

It is not the efficacy of PPI's that is being questioned. They are too efficient as they can affect the proton pumps that exist in all types of cells and so, while doing there job in the gut ( reducing stomach acid which can be bad for the GI system overall), they impact other organs. I have a friend on PPI's and I can vouch for that part of the text in following article as she always has ...more

This is right.  The dangers of PPIs are well documented.  The question for the doctor and patient is whether the benefits of PPI outweigh the risks.  Just like Zontivity -- the dangers of Zontivity are also well known, but if you have no health insurance to pay for a procedure like a heart stent, Zontivity may be your best choice.

I guess one could overcome the lowered absorption of vitamins and minerals by increasing the intake of supplements - that could alleviate the problem to some degree
Comment by biggerr on Sep 28, 2017 7:39pm
also drink lots of lemon juice - it functions almost like stomach acid. I drink it every day because I had a kidney stone 2 years ago and lemon juice also prevents its formation and so far so good
