Bank Review of Arcan's Credit Line

Is coming due next month.  With weak oil prices I'm not expecting a favorable outcome.

Just what major shareholders LTS and CPG are hoping for IMO - a distressed sale of Arcan's assets..to the detriment of everyone else.

debenture holders had a chance to get out with 82.5% of their skin. Shareholders voted in favor except for LTS and CPG who may be interested in picking up the assets directly, and leaving the shareholders with zero and debenture holders with maybe 20 cents on the dollar IF they are lucky.

Hey genius how do you know how CPG voted.  I agree that LTS publicly indicated that it would vote against the plan but as far as I can tell CPG was silent(at least publicly) on the issue. So how do you know how they voted? If the deal had gone through the stockholders would have gotten nothing.  They would initally own 12% of the survivng company but the management clearly ...more

It would appear the correct decision was made teevee..................  Your prediction of an implosion in the debenture pricing hasn't really materialised. (10% drop not the 50% drop you predicted ) Why would I bank a small profit and reallocate funds when I can just sit on this bond?  Where else can I generate this amount of interest........... rad10, Kindly elucidate where ARN will find the money to pay the debenture holders. ARN is on the edge and barely maintaining production as it is and oil prices are falling. I see no alternative to paying debenture holders with stock at market price. The only rational explanation for the debenture price holding up is that who ever is accumulating, expects conversion of the debture to shares which ...more

You may be onto something LOL,.............. When do the debentures come due? - A lot changes quickly in the oil patch............
