NOW for the rest of the news today ....

Antrim Energy underlined today that the UK Causeway field is still progressing after receiving approval for a Field Development Plan from the Department of Energy and Climate Change in December last year.

Antrim announced today – in addition to results from the East Fyne appraisal well – that Causeway now has a turnkey contractor in place after the award of a GBP 33 million lump sum EPIC deal to Technip covering engineering, procurement installation and commissioning for rigid and flexible flowlines for the project, which was awarded by Causeway operator Valiant Petroleum.

Causeway is being tied back to the Taqa-operated Cormorant North platform and from there production will exported back to the Sullom Voe terminal in the Shetland Islands.

Semi-submersible Borgsten Dolphin has been contracted to drill Causeway production and water injection development wells and first oil remains on track for the third quarter this year, Antrim says.
