3 Way Split....How does that play out?

3 Way Split....How does that play out?I've not experienced a company/share split before. How would the 3 shares be valued? Surely not equally. Someone please correct me, but I would not want to be diluted by a third on my Peru investment. Would I end up with 2 shares that few investeors want? I realize i'm a newby in this situation, but I don't like the sound of it. I would appreciate if anyone could explain. Thanks.
