Thanks Folks

I just bought a full position for under $4.50 a share. The beauty is I get the dividend for the month too.  I have been planning on buying for months, but for some strange reason, I didn't. Today is the day to buy, not sell...

The strange reason might be the reason you have 130 people ignoring you. LOL, just another idiot

Good luck with that...enjoy the next year of crossing your fingers, praying to your God or whatever you have to do to hope there are no more surprises such as the dividend reduction last night.  I for one am not wlling to gamble on that.

Hello Thomass. I am not here to make friends with clowns like you. I am here to make money and exchange investment ideas. Today, I am a buyer of AVF... Kherson

Guess I'm an idiot too because I just bought in as well.   It's only money. Peace.

Gwplant, being a fellow investor in PSN and CUS, I certainly don't feel they are gambles and neither do I feel that AVF is now a gamble... Kherson

I am not calling people who bought today an idiot. I was only calling Kherson an idiot. Anybody who brags about their transactions are usually full of it. I doubt if he has a $1,000 to invest.

To get this dividend you were required to have bought this by the closee of the trading day of the 27th as the 28th is ex-date. Ex-date is the first day you can sell it and get the div of the 30th. The company paying the dividend is allowed 3 business days to confirm the owner of record and that therefore means you needed to buy AVF by closing of the 27th to be the shareholder to be paid the ...more

Thanks jjeerryy for the info. I never realized that was the case for dividends... Kherson

You are very welcome Kherson.  My intention was to be helpful and informative and I am grateful you undersdtood.   Many people get mixed up about day of record and ex-date.  If you own a div paying stock the day prior to ex-date you qualified for the div and then ex-date is the day you can sell it.  Therefore to be sure to get the div ...own it at close of the day prior to ex ...more
