No More Dividends without the merger

There will be no special dividend from the sale of Elbow River. The cash was used to pay off debt. Also if by chance the merger does not go through it is a guarantee that AvenEx will not be able to continue paying even close to the .035 per month they are now paying. They said as much in the question and answer sheet on their website.

It says ...

Why weren’t the proceeds of the Elbow River sale simply distributed to AvenEx shareholders?

The use of the Elbow River proceeds to pay off all outstanding debt, and have AvenEx continue in an 18,000 boe/d entity (vs. ~3,000 boe/d) offers a greater long term sustainable dividend for the shareholder rather than (i) a special dividend of those proceeds, (ii) stand-alone continuation with a greatly reduced dividend, or (iii) an outright sale at depressed trading levels. https://www.avenexenergy.com/pdf/pressRelease/2013/Spyglass%20-%20FAQ%20(AvenEx).pdf

I am here to make a profit at what I see as a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of something that will pay off big. My anger would be focused on the sale of Elbow River and not this merger. The sale of Elbow River has made the merger the only option. Selling ...more

At this point kearson you better pray that PACE does not vote "NO". If they do you will be losing 100% of your dividend as well as the equity in your shares and not just 35% of your dividend.
