High quality oil stricken in Siirt
A high quality oil was found in an oil field in Siirt province in eastern Turkey…
The discovery took place at Magrip Oil Field in Kurtalan district of Siirt province in eastern Turkey. A work had been launched in the field about 2 and a half months ago, and high quality oil was stricken at 2000-mt depth at Kapikaya-2 well. The oil was reported to be of 33 gravity.

“Our teams found quality oil at 2000-mt. A decision of definitive producing in the well will be made after testing works in the coming days, and a daily output will be determined. We also have high hope in our new Kozluk Kuzey Arikaya-1, and Silopi Caliskan-1 wells,” said Regional Manager of Petroleum Corporation of Turkey, Gokhan Akin.
