RE: VMS Deposits
RE: VMS DepositsYeah, yeah... we all know that stuff already, Jack. You have got it backwards, though. Any good exploration company worth its salt doesn't target the stringer zones - they target the heart of the thickest, highest grade sulphides. If they hit some stringer mineralization or some alteration along the way, then that is positive, but they certainly are not targeting those things specifically, at least I HOPE they are not because if they are then God help us. And it is IMPOSSIBLE to determine without prior drilling potential grade or deposit size just based on having a "prospective horizon". There are hundreds of prospective horizons around the world that upon further exploration have yielded nothing. Again, we all KNOW that Barker has some interesting rocks around Frank Creek. But they have been touting that since about the year 2000 and they have had the Titan survey since what, early-2004? They have drilled about 15 holes into the best Titan anomalies and have shown that, yes, there are some low grade stringers there and some alteration, but other than that there is a lot of conductive sedimentary rocks that could be giving those Titan anomalies. (And for the record, they don't seem to have any of the "V" in VMS - that's "volcanogenic" by the way) If they love these targets so much then why have they drilled so few holes on them in the last 3 and a half years since the survey was done. This is all that most people want to know. We don't need any more lectures on VMS exploration methodology or how much "potential" there is. Drill the targets and move on. If there's nothing there, so be it, that's exploration; just move on to the next property. But, holy cow, do SOMETHING!
