You are also right about the infrastructure. There's no sense in putting the cart before the horse. Find the deposit first and THEN you can start talking about infrastructure.

And the last BC metal mines to be constructed were Eskay Creek, Mt. Polley and Kemess - Eskay is closed, Kemess will be in a few years and Mt. Polley doesn't have a long mine life. None of those were discovered in the last 15 years. It would be a great time to make a major discovery in BC, but as you allude to, there are no guarantees. Red Chris in northern BC is another example of a potential mine caught up in permitting headaches.

Nice to talk about mining on here for a change ;-)
