Thrive Cannabis was founded by Art Bluhm, a successful Canadian entrepreneur with over 35 years of enterprise building experience from the automotive and health care industries. Bluhm’s vision was to create a cannabis business based on the absolute best dried flower, and dried flower offshoots, in the entire industry.

To help him achieve that vision, Bluhm brought in master grower Tyson Cramer, a veteran of the cannabis industry from Humboldt County, California. Cramer’s technical and horticultural expertise led to the construction of Thrive’s original 10,000 sq ft growing facility in Simcoe, Ontario. This facility allowed Thrive to secure the 95th ACMPR license in Canada after originally being #795 in the queue. Under Cramer and Bluhm’s leadership, Thrive’s growing facility was constructed in a record-breaking nine weeks.

In July 2019, Thrive Cannabis continued expansion by merging with TerraFarma, a leading Canadian cannabis company.

Today, Thrive Cannabis is actively building additional premium indoor cultivation, processing and extraction space with the capability for automated GMP manufacturing on its 170+ acre site. It is also developing outdoor cultivation on its site and expects to plant its first outdoor crop in the Spring of 2019.

Thrive also has access to up to 28 acres of greenhouse growing capability.
