Volume

Well volume is picking up.

A good sign.

The issue is that there is so many sellers hoping to get out for such a long time, we cannot make any headway. With Oil at $49-50, we should be on our way up, yet sellers are coming out of the woodwork.

I think the sellers are long gone Broker.I suspect somebody may have leaked drill results. With a 19 cent share company it wouldn't raise alarm bells. We go up over %30 with exraordinary volume and no news? I could be wrong on this but tomorrow will tell.If we go back down it only meant that we were caught by the daytraders. If we go up more or stabilise it could very well be a missed opportunity ...more

I agree. We took out resistance. Over 4 million shares will do that. That was alot of pent up selling though. News should be out this week or  next  based on their previous news release. Very important week ahead.

Well wittman, I guess you were right again, unforturnately. It looks like we got caught in a day trade. This stock is unbelievably discouraging.

the chart still looks bullish to me.  8 cents in single day was simply too much without any news.

The chart looks bullish? You don't have a clue, do you. Fracturing began last week and if you like to guess either went well and a few friends bought shared for the good news which is likely seeing the huge price jump and volume or day traders jumped on  highly unlikely because of the price jump. Rarely  does a day trader buy an illiquid stock after a  huge spike up with no ...more

I may have asked this question before  but what is BNK's tipping point for OIl? What price do they need in order to maintain profitability and fund capital expenditures? From the latest news releases and financial statements it looks like their netbacks are around $25 boepd, not including hedges. This does NOT take into account capital expenditures to fund future growth. Therefore ...more

So the frantic orgasmic buyers at 28 cents suddenly don't want any shares at 24 cents??? People are funny.
Comment by BrokerG on Aug 02, 2017 2:23pm
That is what happens when you have a few institutional buyers come in. They purchase their shares and sit on them for years. The day traders then see the uptick and try to cash in as well. When there is no follow through, they leave.

https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/bubble-point-death-pxd-oil-mix-challenge-scott-lapierre Some questions remain about Permian reserves being very overstated. I wonder if BNK's reserves are as well. I've expressed my concerns to the company that with all they've spent on OK (excluding the money sink that was European shale) production levels seem concerning. Isn't it true that all ...more

Well I must admit, eventhough this well has taken 3 months longer to stimulate, then they said back in April, at least they are giving us updates. In the past, we were lucky to hear from them more than twice a year.
Comment by auburn2 on Aug 04, 2017 10:54am
Could be they're trying to drum up interest for an equity raise.
Comment by BrokerG on Aug 04, 2017 11:00am
Thanks for ruining my weekend. They have a line of credit for up to $75 Million. Let's hope they would use that first. We do not need more dilution, after last year's 80 million shares

so what is your strategy here? are you going to shorting this or selling what you have at this price?  i have 46k shares at 41 cent average.  should I hold or get out?
Comment by wittmann on Aug 04, 2017 4:50pm
I will never tell a fellow poster to buy or sell.I will however state what I do.My strategy is simple.I always buy stocks in multiple accounts. That lets me play with my own averages .I can buy and sell at a loss ..say for tax purposes ..or I can sell in a different account for a gain. I trade in a different realm than many. As for BKX..well it looks to me as though two things are happening ...more

Day traders did not see institutional buyers and jump in Broke Day traders are exactly that and the price rose all day to the close, someone wanted shares and wasn't  concerned about a couple of cents. Not sure if they have better info than me but there's a reason and only the guy buying knows it
