My take

You guys bring up good points. The big problem I have is trying to figure out the valuation of this company. In the event of a take over, debt always comes into play as well as assets.A partnership would be more appealing in my opinion.I also get the gut feeling that despite the selling in recent months, the shareprice seems to be held in this range 24 to 27 cents.So..in the event of a buyout it wouldnt be surprising to see a 40 tp 50 cent target.I say this because if I recall there was heavy insider buying back when we hit sub 20 cents. So these people stand to make a decent premium. This is all my opinion and therefore should be taken as such.It also makes me ponder buying more at this price....
I wish I had tomorrows newspapers.

Since we are discussing valuation, here are some numbers: Debt- 32 million Shares outstanding - 240 million Tax loss provisions - 156 million NPV at 10%- Proved reserves only = 376 million[ last financial statements-33.8 mmboe $376.8 mm BT NPV10] If we take the proved reserves only, not the probable or possible we get the following: 376/240 = $1.57 a share. If we take out the 32 million of debt ...more

After much thought, I have come to the realization of why we are trading below our peers and below our NPV by a large margin. It comes down to this: It does not matter how muh oil and gas you have if can never monetize it. It's simple: BNK has the reserves but they have NO capital to get at those reserves. It's like having the most valuable postage stamp busut never selling it. Sure it ...more

Thats why I never do napkin calculations. No offense but thru all the years on this and other BB's valuations posted by readers are always wrong.%100 of the time. The reason is simple....too many unknowns. The biggest problem I have is theres no real guidance for this year..its all subject to their strategies I suppose.

I agree.Without a plan or stated goals we are drifting. The market know that as well, hence, why we are trading at 52 week lows.  My guess is they are waiting for strategic review before giving any guidance. It would be nice to know how long or approximately when this review will be complete. My initial estimate was the Fall but I surely hope it is before then.
