explains why no inside buying

according to news release still an ongoing process , i have bot and sold at least 50 oil and gas properties over the years , never seen a process take so long , unless there is a key dispute on validity of reserve assumptions that needs time to resolve or another well, from my perspective there are plenty of wells in the west section and an abscence of wells in the east , let some one else spend the capital delineating , sell the well proven puds (no pun intended) and move on return capital to shareholders or kill process announce business plan in moving foward and get some inside buying on the tape. 2 to 4 million dollars should clean the market to nrth of 50 cents.

Carbonbull, The breakdown of shareholders is as follows: 30% - Harrington + Livermore + Board/Management 70% - publicly traded Not sure if 2 to 4 million wojuld clean the market to .50cents given the amount pubicly held. Everyone and their dog would sell this piece of _____ for under .50 cents if given the chance. Harrington bought for .20 cents so their ROI, after 5 years, is respectable at ...more

Our speculation doesnt mean much..it never really has. Facts however, speak for themselves. Many junior oilco's are on the ropes.Rig counts dropping for more reasons than just lower oil prices.Someccompanys are going bankrupt because they took on to much debt and cannot repay.Thats why banks are reluctant to lend money to oil company's.Simple fact is any company that can stay on it's ...more

I agree, wittman, with your statement that BNK has no bargaining power. So the strategy is to wait until things get better? Even vultures know that if other vultures are circling they may want to make a bid before the feast is over. BNK has third party verified reserves[ as to carbonbull's question], therefore, some value. Obviously they are not going to get their expected true value. Sorry ...more

i know how much i own and  my friends ,I estimate the public float to be less then you , for sake of argument lets say less then 150 million shares , so soaking up another 30 million shares at a dime will be a great buy if you are aware of significant blocks for sale please alert me. other then that content to have my bids hit at this level

Hello carbonbull I am using Barron's and Morningstar for my shareholder calculations.  Harrington - 40.77 million shares Livermore - 11.95 million Insiders and Board - 16.54 million Mutual Funds/Money Managers - 1 million Total - 70.26/240 = 30% Therefore, the remaiing shares of 170 million or 70% are public float. Can you provide your estimate of a fair selling price?

my point on the float is there are interested shareholders accumulating myself included that reduces "so called public float" ie shares are not for sale until a takeout .  right now i beleive that number to be less the 150 m . as to valuation of this property in a healthy junior market EV would be at least 150 million usd in this lack of interest market i beleive EV to be about 100 ...more

Thank you for clarifying. Unless you and your friends own 20 million shares, the float is approx. 170 million shares. If you and your group actually own that many shares, surely, Wolf will take your calls. Maybe you can ask him if they received any offers at .40 cents CDN?. If so, why did they not sell? Other than losing his job. Now the difficult question: Considering it took 7 months to let us ...more

Hey you can do math !!  I have spoken with both wolf and ford they are consummate pros not a word so left to read the tea leaves . Besides being an un loves sector I am at a loss to explain the market . But a someone posted a while  ago a 100k of  trading doesn’t  make it so , if I thought the team would sell at 15cents I would make an offer myself , next best thing is getting ...more

rThanks for being a pretentious ----. Many of us here have been on the Board and shareholders for a very long time. We have seen a lot of self promotion and therefore are a little skeptical when someome comes in and claiims that they and their group own 20 million shares. Getting back to BNK, surely the Board has a target price. I am excluding management since they have other motives. Ford would ...more

where is your morning sense of humour Broker G , not being pretenious , i have a very significant toehold now and know a number of my friends do as well, just trying to stop weary shareholders from throwing in the towel without understanding the underlying value , suspect that is a losing battle which is why i beleive with tax loss season fast approaching we may see a nickel all which doesnt ...more

I lost my sense of humour investing in BNK a long time ago. If this company has not been bought out in 18 months that would be travesty. In regard to the shareholder base, it is not our job to promote the stock. That is what Wolf is supposed to be doing. Obviously, he is too busy worrying about keeping his job than doing daily roadshows to investment bankers and trade shows.  As I said ...more

it is the shareholders base responsibility to value their company , this is very distinct from promoting , which is why i am posting , rather then acccepting status quo become informed , and dont let vultures steal your value , i saw value at 25 cents and have been buying for six months , i intend to continue accumulating at the pace of 10 percent of my holdings a month , if all shareholders had a ...more

I think the market does a pretty good job in evaluating firms. Of course, there may be times that the market overvalues and undervalues companies and industries but overall it interprets information and conveys that through the stock price. I think our divergence is that you are valuing BNK based on their proven and possible reserves. I agree that BNK has the reserves however they have no ...more
