PNG Gas Project Background

This project, which will build a natural gas pipeline to take gas from PNG to Australia, will have a dramatic impact on natgas prices in PNG. Right now PNG natgas is just about worthless, yet in a few years it will be very valuable. The second well in the Interoil drilling program, the Sterling Mustang, found traces of natural gas before drilling was suspended there. When they go back into that area, if they hit gas again it will be a valuable find.
