RE: BP's future

RE: BP's futureBP are probably getting their plans together to exit the Gulf of Mexico and head for the Falkland Islands, just off Argentina.
Rockhopper Exploration LSE AIM:RKH have made an oil strike at grade API 28 - API 32 and there is talk of 60 billion barrels of oil in these waters.
BHP Biilliton and their small partner Falklands Oil and Gas LSE AIM:FOGL are drilling for oil at this very moment at Toroa and results should come at the end of this month.
Other explorers are Borders and Southern LSE AIM:BOR, Desire Petroleum LSE AIM:DES and Falklands Holdings LSE AIM:FKL.
A number of major oil companies are thought to be lining up to take stakes in these ventures that may put their interests in the Gulf of Mexico on the back burner: Leaving Obama to get his own oil out.
