Swiss Transocean and Standard Oil

Swiss Transocean and Standard OilTransocean left America for tax reasons and setup in Switzerland. They drilled in the Gulf with a suspect Korean oil rig that had safety issues, it was Transocean who built the faulty oil rig. Transocean are to blame.

Let's not forget it is an American subsidiary involved here with mostly American workers. Fair enough BP, formerly British Petroleum and prior to that Anglo-Persian Oil Company Limited. BP Amoco is in fact America's Standard Oil Company that changed its name to Amoco.

Don't forget that in the 1980's Occidental's oil platform in UK waters blew up with over 160 workers on the platform killed. This disaster wasn't blamed on America's Occidental Oil Company by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher at the time. Her relationship with President Reagan was such that they held hands across the waters.

President Obama is no President Reagan and that shows in his lost blaming attitude on this incident in the Gulf of Mexico.

The holdup in the oil production in the Gulf is great news for the Arabs and they cheer every word from Obama, bring it on they say.

It's about time, about time, that Obama supported America's oil industry and stopped this sell out to the Arabs.
