Definitely tricky trying to "guess" where anything is going in the short term in these markets let alone something like BPY. My wife and I have our long term shares that we always just hold but I've been doing a bit of short term trading in BPY with some extra cash. It's now gotten too risky for the trading so it's on hold for now.

One of the things I used to do when I was more active was use a trailing stop loss. As an example, at this point with BPY.UN, I'd be a stop loss in at 17.85. If BPY goes up, I move the stop loss up by the amount it goes up. I found it worked better than trying to pick a top to sell at as it allows you to benefit if the stock continues trending uwards.

Something to consider especially with just part of your holding.

maybe they knew there was no point if the BB boosted the SP. I'm gonna watch it next week because I don't want to lose this profit like the last time we hit 18. I put a lot of my eggs in here, and I don't want to watch them break!
