RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Did bpy start buying shares again?!?!Hey NP
Very interesting. I find that most new investors are indeed greedy and looking for the home run. I think it's quite a stressful way to invest and it sure seems like there are a number that find it doesn't work out for them.
MAP is in a whole different boat as he is nearing retirement so won't have any employment income to fall back on. Income becomes way more important.
I've been retired for just ovet 7 years and my wife & I live entirely off our dividend income and my CPP & OAS. (My wife is only 63 and was stay at home so minimal CPP & no OAS yet).
We are 100% invested in 26 dividend income/growth stocks and 2 ETFs (FIE,ZWB) in only 5 sectors - banks, utilities, midstream, REITs, and telcos. We also have a little extra cash that I short term trade with and BPY has certainly been a good one for that.
So far so good on the dividend front as our portfolio is quite a bit larger than when I retired.
Ciao

thanks for sharing, but you see, I'm both a novice investor AND greedy, a BAD combination XD once I double my money on BPY I'll be able to call myself an expert, hah! One thing about diversifying I find is that I can't trade 16 stocks daily, whereas if you have a big chunk in BPY it is easier to trade it once or twice a week, especially since these BB are making us money. Once it dies down perhaps I'll diversify, but for now I want to maximize the nr of shares of bpy and thus increase the div payouts.
