Bombardier unveils newly branded Global 7500 and Challenger 3500

Bombardier’s (TSX:BBD.A) Global 7500 and Challenger 3500 aircraft will be on display at the Catarina Aviation Show in São Paulo, Brazil.

With close to 600 business jets across Latin America, the aviation company announced that these aircraft present leading performance attributes, advanced technology, environmental product declarations and comfortable cabins.

The Global 7500 will connect clients in São Paulo directly to destinations such as Dubai, London, Tel Aviv, New York and Geneva. The Challenger 3500 flies from São Paulo to San Juan and Panama City, as well as to most destinations in Europe with a single stop.

“The Brazilian market is very important for Bombardier, both in terms of our business jet customers and our growing defence segment,” Michael Anckner, vice president, worldwide pre-owned, fleet, defence and Latin America, Bombardier said in a news release. “There are close to 600 Bombardier aircraft across Latin America, and we are pleased to have a strong team present to showcase our aircraft here in São Paulo.”

More than 170 Global 7500 aircraft are in service, and it has more than 40 (unofficial and pending) industry speed records to its credit. It boasts a top speed of Mach 0.925 and a range of 14,260 kilometres. More than 950 Challenger 300 series business jets are also in service worldwide.

Open from June 13 to 15, the Catarina Aviation Show marks the first stop of Bombardier’s demo tour, bringing the latest additions to the company’s portfolio of aircraft to clients in Brazil. The team will also have a dedicated sales crew on site from business aircraft and Bombardier Defense.

Montreal-based Bombardier designs, builds, modifies and maintains a leading portfolio of aircraft for business and defence. The company’s customers operate a fleet of about 5,000 aircraft across the world supported by 10 service facilities across six countries.

Bombardier Inc. stock (TSX:BBD.A) last traded at C$87.59 per share. The stock has added 41.65 per cent year-over-year and 3,931.19 per cent over the past five years.
