Good article/insight by Gwyn Morgan. Alberta is going through a cycle of 'success envy', and the gov't of the day is bending to the various howls of envy by punishing the oil/gas industry. In the long run, the latest royalty move probably won't benefit the average Albertans and may even hurt them, but then the complainers will long since have forgotten about what brought on the whole mess in the first place. They will get what they wish for, even if it hurts them.
