What are others experiences with Friday payment dates?

I'm with Scotia iTRADE and received none of my end-of-month dividends this morning. They're not likely to show up now until Wednesday at 4:00 a.m.

Thanks for any info you can offer.

I'm also with itrade and have a similar issue, I believe the account system is basically down for the weekend, along with the hung up dividends, I also have a trade that shows in my transactions but is not calculated or shown in my portfolio properly and in a margin account the margin allowance was not re-calculated today.

As frustrating as it is, I'm sure it will all be worked out likely by Tuesday, as last time I seen similar issues it was the 2nd regular day that things went back to normal.

Thanks Jay; comforting to know I'm not alone in my frustration.

It bothers me that some folks might need this money to pay expenses at the beginning of the month, that iTRADE doesn't seem to acknowledge the delay and that it makes calculating income for some accounts difficult, since the money is 2022 income but isn't deposited until 2023.

At any rate, I wonder if other brokerages have similar blind spots or breakdowns? This seems to happen with iTrade roughly once every month or two.

Np Bud, yea iTrade has a few issues, I have heard of a couple brokers that payments show up the day they payout rather than a day later which surprised me.

The payouts/trades should show up as back dated to the day they were suppose to show up so on, for taxes ect they will show on 2022 income including those that the ex dividend date was in December but they pay mid/late January.

Ive been given the excuse before that it is based on processing, for example my trade that is not calculating is a rights offering exercise, it showed up today for the first time, it's back dated to the 20th which is when the offering was completed and Scotia recieved the shares, and it shows up behind a dividend I recieved on the 23rd. If you update personal files be aware that the latest transaction may not show up as they appeared in your account. I see this issue arise with US dividends, sometimes those that show the tax removed may not show up with the payment as usual, it may get taken off a few days later but be back dated. I update personal spreadsheets usually a week after my last expected transaction took place.
