IMHO it is totally irrelevant that New Gold is the only "surrounding" company. The determining factor for Bayfield, who are proving up bonanza grades of gold, is the PRICE OF GOLD! When it breaks through its current transient paper prison a la Jim Sinclair's explainations among others, gold is giong to skyrocket. BYV will then have suitors aplenty and it will be THEY who are in the driver's seat!
So, if New Gold were smart, they would not let this go to someone else at a price far in excess of the bargain that they may foolishly think they can snatch it up for, if in fact that is what they do think and that is far from a given. Not gonna happen anyway, folks.
You could see a bidding war on this one which will spin your heads 360 degrees. All Bayfield has to do is patiently wait.
