Just a theory

So how about this theory:

SHRM purposely didnt file paperwork so they don't have to disclose info to competitors.  Announcing their intentions to buy a bunch of Ketamine clinics  a while back may not have been the smartest move as their competitors are going to make that pricier now.

Management team is fabulous at making money but not so experienced at running a publicly traded company.  This sector is HUGE.  Pot and SSRIs do nothing for mood for most people unless you like being high and/or disfunctional.  Psychedelics have the potential to WIPE OUT the Pharma antidepressant industry.

This is early days.  My bet is that these guys don't want to miss out on a huge opportunity by selling out too early.  Best case is they get a big Pharma to back them financially by taking a significant minority stake as a defensive move.  JNJ knows the potential of Ketamine for the masses.  I'm sure the others are nervously watching.

My biggest fear right now:  That insiders were related party in acquisitions in question.  Aside from that kind of news, I think you ride this for the long term.  Tempted to buy at these levels but I just want to make sure I can trust management so I think I'll wait for the news on the missing paperwork.   It would be very, very bad if the esteemed Roger McIntyre was found to be morally corrupt.

In spite of my "cloak of semi stupid stance" (at least it's only semi stupid)  and my fear mongering verbiage,  I would humbly reject that scenario noting that whether they filed papers or not they still announced the purchase.  I think they got a great idea and an obviously capable and knowledgeable specialist in McIntyre.  I think the board itself is non ...more

I don't think you can blame the board. Maybe the lawyers need to be more involved. Re-reading the article it says that the past company buys not the spin out caused the halt. Who cares though - they have money and once it is unhalted all will be forgot.

Did the board create a numbered company called Newco in March/April? Yes. Did the board choose not to tell it's shareholders until June they were CONSIDERING making a second company? Yes. Did the board create an agreement to amalgamate Altmed and NewCo in April? Yes. Did/is the board creating a Company called Amalco in April/July? Yes. Have they been transparent in their transactions? I'd ...more

Are you no longer in favor Trippedstocks? Didn't the board appoint a securities lawyer as president in April and Doctor as CEO in May? How does that fit with the other timelines?

I do believe in the potential of the company and its medical research. I hope it opens soon and bull runs like mad. However, I am not in favor of being lied to by a company I own shares in, where NR's are signed by the CEO. NewCo and Amalco had pretty much already been created according to the arrangement dated April 9, 2020... So how was it only just "Considered" in June?... Why not ...more

If the board didn't get the lawyers involved then I blame the board.  If the lawyers screwed up then I blame the board for not firing the lawyers if they couldn't repair the damage.  And yes I care. They have money,  and I want some of that money.

Did you eat fungus? I don't believe that a company would ignor the rules and get a halt by purpose. Le professor is intelligence but stock market is not his forte.
