chromiteBack in the day, Ring Of Fire was all about the chromite. No one talked about nickel or platinum or zinc or gold or anything else. Did the world suddenly stop needing chromite for the manufacture of stainless steel? It was supposed to be in such high demand because of all the aging infrastructure upgrades that were happening in Canada and the US. Did the growing middle class suddenly cease buying stainless steel appliances?
I wouldn't be surprised if this surfaces again. Unless, of course, there is a reason those in charge are downplaying it.
