2024 Indigenous Led Project Forum set for April 2-3

Enough with the talking already, just get on with it!!!!

Conference in Toronto has virtual and in-person registration options
The 2024 Iteration of the Indigenous-Led Project Forum will take place on April 2-3 at the Sheraton Place Hotel, Toronto.
“Our theme for this year is Transitioning to the Green Economy, and it’s all about opportunities for Indigenous nations around that economy,” explained host and PRESIDENT/CEO of Indigenous Community Engagement, Michael Fox.
Keynote speakers for this year’s forum include the Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford; The Minister of Northern Development and Indigenous Affairs, Greg Rickford; Minster of Mines George Pirie; Chief of Marten Falls First Nation, Chief Bruce Achneepinescum; Chief of Webequie First Nation, Chief Cornelius Wabasse; Chief of Missanabie Cree First Nation, Chief Jason Gauthier, and many others.
“We are very excited about the information and opportunities that will be available in this year’s forum,” said Fox. “Attendees can expect insightful keynote speeches from Indigenous and industry leaders, as well as federal, provincial and municipal government officials. There will be informative panel discussions and case studies led by industry experts and Indigenous partners.”
He added, “The event also offers valuable networking opportunities, enabling participants to connect and explore potential collaborations. As well, there will be a trade floor featuring Indigenous artisans and businesses, providing a platform to showcase their creations and services.”
Some of the key topics that will be covered at this year’s forum are:
  • Critical Minerals: The Indigenous Potential
  • Indigenous Ownership
  • Clean Energy: The Next Generation
  • The Nuclear Sector: Opportunities for Indigenous People
  • Clean Transition and Indigenous Reconciliation
  • Indigenous-Led Utility Corridors: Critical Infrastructure
  • Trends in Indigenous Project Financing in Canada
“This forum will be invaluable for all of our Indigenous neighbours and friends, as well as those businesses who want to take advantage of this chance for partnership and collaboration in this exciting sector of the economy,” explained Fox. “The future is the green economy. This forum will provide important insight and a blueprint for stepping forward into this opportunity.”
The event will be hybrid, allowing those who want to do so an opportunity to attend online, at a reduced rate. “We recognize not everyone has the time or inclination to attend in person in Toronto, but we wanted to make sure this forum is accessible to as many people as possible, hence the virtual registration option,” said Fox.
Registration and reservations for hotel rooms for the forum are open now.

Fox concluded, “We really look forward to welcoming everyone at this year’s exciting event, whether virtually or in person. There will be an incredible amount of information and opportunities showcased this year, and we want everyone to be able to take advantage of this. Please do sign up, today.”

Hey Tequila, the Michael Fox in your post is the same Michael Fox for the  WFN  that had much to do for the Northern Road Link " Detailed Project Description" that SNC Lavelin did for WFN & MFFN. There should be a fair amount of information regarding the Ring of Fire at this conference. You can find his name on page ii under list of contributers here.   https ...more
