I don't think there in any danger of fire - 1075 KISS FM

The BC Wildfire Service is actioning some small fires in the Falkland area, west of Vernon. Information officer Max Birkner says the three fires were noticed in a warden patrol on Saturday. The largest of the three is 1.5 hectares and the other two are just spot sized, and we do have six fire fighters, one response officer, and one water tender on site, Birkner tells Kiss FM. Birkner says that could be causing some of the smoke in the area, but most of it is coming from larger fires in the Interior. Birkner was not aware of any other new fires in the Vernon Forest zone.
