It's interesting when you open the Metalstream website, and the Canamex website. They look very similar. Maybe a coincidence. Maybe they used the same web designer.
Metalstream are based in Labuan, a juridiction that guards company details so they're not readily available. But since they're a blockchain company who decided to put their equity on the blockchain, there is some anonymous info online about who their equity holders are.
I did a deep dive into some of the
background of Metalstream here. Given that there are a few clues out there on various web sites and press releases, it is possible to reassemble the ownership like a blockchain sudoku puzzle. What follows is my attempt.
Assumptions:
- Although everything about MetalStream appears to have a David Vincent shaped shadow cast over it, he does not appear to be directly involved because that would be a conflict of interest. So we assume that he's not directly an equity holder.
- Blockchain labs likes to setup a treasury stock of equity in their token model. Eli Weir explains it on Telegram but I'll reproduce it here:
"Eli Weir" wrote: Treasury - self explanatory. Under Labuan regulations, a company is allowed to hold up to 15% of any class of any security it has issued, including a security that represents its own ordinary shares. No voting or distributions allowed for these.
Etherscan.io
shows that Metalstream has 13 owners. Here are my guesses for the top 10 owners:
1. 0xa9b0c51b01e79b5ceab77577f04d136edbbb3420 30,000,000 tokens 30% equity
This is probably Eli Weir as documented elsewhere on Stockhouse
2. 0x3ea77c1c4481aea22f15d0b6b861af0b8809f5aa 28,000,000 tokens 28% equity
It's odd that the CTO owns more of the company than the CEO, but not much about this company makes sense, so we'll assume that this is CEO Rohan Cavaliero
3. 0x258de6d045aeb7b16e88ef41e0f9534229bc34d7 14,900,000 tokens 14.9% equity
This looks like a Treasury account, because it also held 2,800,000 MSGLD tokens when they were created
4. 0x38af0e0e0623fC999762152F5747F3b854aa4De2 10,000,000 tokens 10% equity
This looks like the Treasury account for DSX Global, the entity that will apparently glue all of these transactions together.
5. 0xd85025ba90eca55c193de240d49e5b4b90e9a22c 9,900,000 tokens 9.9% equity
Canamex have announced that they have 9,900,000 "equity securities" in MetalStream, so we assume this is them.
6. 0xbe95ea3b00285d580cfd737d626082c0514bf675 2,000,000 tokens 2% equity
This looks like a treasury account for Blockchain Labs Asia
7. 0x506a3cd78fa99122aa80183283c50524cc55fa0e 1,000,000 tokens 1% equity
This address is the 6th largest holder of EGX tokens. We can assume this is Matthew Averay, the CEO of Enegra Group.
8. 0x718e2a3176ff00e891635fdccae479d3f9901cd3 1,000,000 tokens 1% equity
This account also holds 27% of Sonata Capital, the 3rd largest account there after the addresses we have already identified as Eli Weir and Rohan Cavaliero
This is probably Andrew Walsh, the director of corporate strategy presented as #2 behind Rohan on the metalstream web site. It also holds 15.34% of the "Sonata Asia Growth Fund", which fits with the bio about Asian trading.
9. 0xca5b32efb0291998dd81caa7ff8b1ec067e65758 1,000,000 tokens 1% equity
This address is only associated with MetalStream and the mysterious DSX, but not Sonata or Enegra. The person that fits this address is Scott Joseph
10. 0xe68bab8aedc54be2cd872a3e8468df9fe3a13d8c 1,000,000 tokens 1% equity
This holder Has Enegra and MetalStream tokens, since David, Eli and Matt are already accounted for, let's guess Siti Khadijah "Aja" Yunus, the legal and compliance person who's bio shows that she was part of the Enegra team issuing tokens.
The final 3 holders represent only 1.2% of equity.
Since twentfourcarat is close to this company perhaps he can verify these details. If he ignores this post, we can assume it's close to the truth!
